Description

The Messerschmitt 109E was a single-seater fighter with a 20 m.m. cannon
firing through the airscrew hub, two .312 inch machine-guns in the wings, and
two more in troughs on top of the engine cowling. It was powered by a
Daimler-Benz D.B.60I twelve cylinder inverted V engine of 1,150 h.p., giving
it a top speed of 354 m.p.h. The Hurricane single-seater fighter was powered
by the famous Rolls-Royce Merlin II engine of 1,030 h.p., giving a top speed
of 335 m.p.h.
